Panchanan Chongdar
Late Panchanan Chongdar was the founder of this college.
On memory of his father Late Ramsaday Chongdar this college has been named as Ramsaday College.
The College has several dedicated smart classrooms to enable students to be digitally connected with the advanced world of technological learning. Our future plan is to convert all classrooms into smart classrooms, so that all students get the facility of e- learning at every step of their journey into the world of inculcating knowledge.
The knowledge hub of Ramsaday College,the Central Library ,came into existence with the birth of the institution in 1946 , itself. The College Library is one among the leading libraries of West Bengal. Presently it contains a rich collection of 27000 books, e- books, journals and dedicated reading rooms for students.
Ramsaday College has introduced Computer-Based English Language Lab and English Language Lab-Based Effective English Crash Course in August ,2016 (Upgraded in July 2022) and February 2022 respectively. The mission is to enable the underprivileged students with skills to use English language to communicate effectively.
The lush green environment of the college gives all the stakeholders a fresh feeling. The cool breeze blowing over natural waterbodies create a healthy and congenial atmosphere for imparting of knowledge by the experienced and dedicated members of the college faculty.
